Extra Details:
ID2 (Inhibitor of DNA binding 2; also known as inhibitor of differentiation 2) is a 15kD member of the small ID HLH family of proteins. It is a nuclear protein that forms inactivating heterodimers with bHLH transcription factors. bHLH proteins activate lineage-specific genes and ID2. Human ID2 is 134 amino acids (aa) in length. It contains one HLH domain (aa 36-76) but no DNA-binding motif. Full-length human ID2 is 98% aa identical to both mouse and porcine ID2. Applications: Suitable for use in Direct ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Direct ELISA: 0.5-1ug/mL detection limit for rhID2 ~1ng/well. Western Blot: 1ug/mL Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
