- Extra Details:
- IkBa protein is a NF-kB inhibitory protein. It binds NF-kB, retains the complex in the cytoplasma, prevents it from entering nuclear and functioning as a transcription factor. Upon receiving a variety of signals, IkBa undergoes phosphorylation at serine residues by a ubiquitin-dependent protein kinases and finally degraded by the proteasome. Free NF-kB then binds to DNA and affects gene expression. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 0.25-1ug/10e6 cells Immunoprecipitation: 1ug/ml Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin sections Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: 1:100-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Whole cell lysate from Jurkat, Daudi, or NIH 3T3. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
