Extra Details:: Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 protein. Viral transcriptional regulator; viral regulatory protein required for virus replication; transactivates the viral LTR promoter through interactions with cellular transcription factors; associated with pathogenic effects of the virus. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunocytochemistry and Neutralization. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 10-100ng/ml Western Blot: 1-5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Biological Activity: Neutralizes tat dependent HIV-1 replication in infected monocytic cells. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
