- Applications: Western Blotting: 1:2000 dilution detects acetylated histone H4 in Tetrahymena macronuclei and acid extracted proteins from HeLa cells treated with 5mM sodium butyrate. Sodium butyrate, an inhibitor of deacetylases, was used to enhance detection of acetylated histone H4. Chromatin Immunoprecipitation: 5-10ul immunoprecipitates transcriptionally active chromatin containing acetylated histone H4 from 2x10e6 serum stimulated HeLa cells. Immunocytochemistry: Not recommended. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
