- Extra Details:
- The hypoxia-inducible transcription factor 2a (HIF-2a) is stabilized in hypoxic tissue and, similarly to HIF-1a complexes with Aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator (ARNT). Both the HIF-1 and HIF-2 complexes bind hypoxia-response elements (HREs) in the promoters of many genes involved in adapting to an environment of insufficient oxygen or hypoxia. HIF-1 and HIF-2 do not appear completely redundant, although specific functions are only beginning to be elucidated. Hypoxic tissue environments occur in vascular and pulmonary diseases as well as cancer, which illustrates the potentially broad impact of gene regulation by both HIF-1a and HIF-2a. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 5-15ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
