- Type E hepatitus virus (HEV) is transmitted through fecal-oral route. In developing country with hot climate, HEV outbreak is common with a high mortality in pregnant woman. The viruc has a 7.6kb positve sense single strained RNA genome enclosed in a capsid without envelope. There are three open ring reading frames (ORFs) on the HEV genome. ORF1 encodes protease, methyl-transferase, helicase and replicase. ORF2 encodes capsid protein. The function of the protein encoded by PRF3 is undefined. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:100-1:2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
