Extra Details:: The antigen is produced in E. coli as a fusion with human superoxide dismutase (SOD). It covers from Ile1694 to Leu1735 of the HCV-1a polyprotein. It is equivalent to the 5-1-1 antigen. It reacts in ELISA and Western Blot with serum from HCV seropositive individuals. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
