- Extra Details:
- Heparan Sulfate is a glycosaminoglycan, as is heparin. These proteoglycans bind proteins, including P-Selectin, and participate in the internalization of lipoproteins. It is thought that the protein- proteoglycan binding affinity comes from ionic interactions and the entropy generated by the release of cations upon protein binding. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA and RIA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: Recognizes heparan sulfate proteoglycan ELISA: 1-10ug/ml RIA: 1-10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
