- Human influenza hemagglutinin (HA) is a surface glycoprotein required for the infectivity of the human virus. The HA tag is derived from the HA-molecule corresponding to amino acids 98-106 has been extensively used as a general epitope tag in expression vectors. Many recombinant proteins have been engineered to express the HA tag, which does not appear to interfere with the bioactivity or the biodistribution of the recombinant protein. This tag facilitates the detection, isolation, and purification of the proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detects a recombinant protein containing the HA-tag at the N-terminus in RIPA lysates from HEK293 cells. Immunoprecipitation: 5ug/ml reported to immunoprecipitate recombinant HA-tagged fusion protein. Immunocytochemistry: 5ug/ml reported to immunostain HA-tagged fusion protein. Optimal dilutions to be determined by researhcer. Recommended secondary antibodies: I1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo I1904-06H: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
