Extra Details:
Epitope tags are useful for the labeling and detection of proteins using immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation and immunostaining techniques. Due to their small size, they are unlikely to affect the tagged protein’s biochemical properties. The HA tag is derived from an epitope of the influenza hemagglutinin protein, which has been extensively used as a general epitope tag in expression vectors. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:1000. Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% nonfat dry milk, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight. Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:100 Flow Cytometry: 1:50 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:1200. Use citrate as unmasking buffer. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
