Extra Details:
The 90kD heat shock protein (Hsp90) is a highly conserved, and abundant cytosolic homodimeric molecular chaperone. Hsp90 is distinguished from other chaperones in that most of its known substrates are signal transduction proteins, non activated steroid hormone receptors, several protooncogenic tyrosine and serine/threonine kinases and actin. Two isoforms which correspond to the major and minor isoform, (Hsp90 alpha and Hsp90 beta) can be found in nearly equal amount in humans, and operates as part of a multichaperone machinery in the cytosol, which includes Hsp70, peptidyl-prolyl isomerases and other cochaperones. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2-4ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with 200ul sterile dH20. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
