- Heat shock protein A2 (HSPA2), also known as HSP70.2, is a 70kD testis specific protein. HSPA2 is required for spermatogenesis and functions as a chaperone for the spermatid DNA packaging proteins TP1 and TP2. HSPA2 is also expressed in cancer cells where it is normally localized to the cytoplasm but migrates to the nucleus during heat shock. Within aa 529-616, human HSP70A2 shares 99% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat HSPA2. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
