Extra Details:: GTP-binding proteins (G-proteins) play a critical role in signal transduction by coupling receptors to effectors. The intracellular consequences of G-protein activation include second messenger generation (such as cyclic AMP, calcium and diacylglycerol), protein phosphorylation, ion channel activation, gene induction, cell growth, and differentiation. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000, with detection by 125I-labeled anti-IgG. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
