- Extra Details:
- GP130 is a signal-transducing subunit shared by the receptors for the IL-6 family of cytokines. The binding of a ligand to its receptor induces the dimerization of GP130, lending to activation of the Jak tyrosine kinase and tyrosine phosphorylation of GP130. These events lead to the activation of multiple signaltransduction pathways, such as the Stat, Ras-MAPK and PI3 kinase pathways whose activation is controlled by distinct regions of GP130. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:1000 Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 1X TBS, 5% BSA, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
