- Glycogen Synthase Kinase-3 (GSK-3) is a serine/threonine kinase initially identified asan inhibitor of glycogen synthase. Two isoforms (GSK-3a, GSK-3b) share 85aa identity. GSK-3b, inhibited by phosphorylation at S9 by Akt, is involved in energy metabolism, body pattern formation, and neuronal cell development. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 2.5ug labels 10e6 cells Western Blot: 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
