Glutamate receptors are the major excitatory neurotransmitter receptors in the central nervous system (CNS). They play critical roles in the mechanisms of synaptic plasticity and in the development of the nervous system. These receptors may be involved in the neuronal cell death that occurs in several neuropathological conditions. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot, ELISA, Immunocytochemistry and RIA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (50um 4% paraformaldehyde fixed tissue): 1:250-1:400 Immunocytochemistry: 4% paraformaldehyde fixed cells Optimal dilution to determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Cerebral cortex, pyramidal neurons Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C.
