- Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) is a cytosolic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of glucose-6-phosphate into 6-phosphgluconolactone and maintains the levels of the electron donor, NADPH. G6PD is an x-linked housekeeping gene whose deficiency can result in neonatal jaundice, acute hemolysis, or chronic non-spherocytic hemolytic anemia. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Flow Cytometry and Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:1000 Flow Cytometry: 2-5ug/10e6 cells Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
