Extra Details:: The 56kD GFAP protein is the main subunit of intermediate filaments of glial cells and astrocytes. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:2000 Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:100; Incubate for 1 hour at RT. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50; Incubate >1 hr at RT; extended time for paraffin sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
