- Growth and differentiation factor Associated Serum Protein 2 (GASP-2), encoded by the WFIKKN1 gene, is a serum protein that binds the TGF-B related protein, myostatin. GASP-2 contains WAP-type, follistatin-type, Immunoglobulin, Kunitz-type (2 units), and NTR-type protease inhibitory domains. The amino acid sequence of human GASP-2 is 88% and 69% identical to that of canine/rat/mouse and chicken. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 8-25ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
