Extra Details:: Follistatin is produced in the gonadotrope and folliculostellate cells of the pituitary gland and is thought to indirectly regulate FSH biosynthesis and secretion through its ability to bind activin. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Indirect, Sandwich): 0.5-2ug/ml using 100ul/well. Allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4ng/well with F9060-01A Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml The detection limit is 1.5-3ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, 0.1% BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
