- FZD8 is a Frizzled Receptor that mediates Wnt signaling and is involved in determining vertebrate axis and tissue polarity. FZD8 is expressed during embryonic development in forming and differentiating somites in mice. FZD8 expression has been reported in brain, heart, kidney, pancreas, and skeletal muscle. ESTs have been isolated from embryo, eye, head/neck, heart, kidney, liver/spleen, pancreas, prostate, and testis libraries, as well as many tumor libraries. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 5-15ug/ml detects FZD8 in cells and tissues. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
