- Extra Details:
- Members of the Frizzled family of proteins serve as receptors for the Wnt signaling pathway and are involved in a variety of developmental processes. Frizzled proteins each contain a divergent N-terminal signal peptide, a highly conserved extracellular cysteine-rich domain, a variable-length linker region, a seven-pass transmembrane domain and a variable-length C-terminal tail. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml detects mouse Frizzled-1. The detection limit for recombinant mouse Frizzled-1 is ~2ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. In this format, this antibody shows approximately 5% crossreactivity with recombinant mouse Frizzled-3, -4, -7, -8 and less than 1% crossreactivity with recombinant mouse Frizzled-6. Immunohistochemistry: 15ug/ml detects Frizzled-1 in cells and tissues. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile Tris-buffered saline, 0.1% BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
