- Fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) are members of a large family of structurally related polypeptides (17-38kD) that are potent physiological regulators of growth and differentiation of a wide variety of cells of mesodermal, ectodermal and endodermal orig Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: 1:100 using immunoperoxidase staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human and animal sections. Antigen retrieval: trypsin digestion. Western Blot: 1:400 lysate derived from 293T cells transiently transfected wtih the pcDNA3/FGFR-1 plasmid. Note: The epitopes recognized by the antibody are resistant to routine formalin-fixation and paraffin embedding, and to other fixatives e.g. Methacarn, Bouins solution, ethanol, and B5. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
