Extra Details:: This gene encodes fibronectin, a glycoprotein present in a soluble dimeric form in plasma, and in a dimeric or multimeric form at the cell surface and in extracellular matrix. Fibronectin is involved in cell adhesion and migration processes including embryogenesis, wound healing, blood coagulation, host defense, and metastasis. The gene has three regions subject to alternative splicing, with the potential to produce 20 different transcript variants. However, the full-length nature of some variants has not been determined. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Microscopy, Western Blot and Cellular Adhesion Studies. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-5ug/ml Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Note: Dilution without addition of carrier protein may cause denautration or adherence of the antibody to the vial. Dilution into a 1% bovine serum albumin containing buffer is recommended. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
