- Fibrinogen is a 340kD glycoprotein which plays an important role in the coagulation process. Fibrinogen activation is also involved in cellular and matrix interactions, the inflammatory response, cardiovascular disease and neoplasia. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoelectrophoresis and single and double radial immunodiffusion. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunoelectrophoresis: 2ml plasma or equivalent against 120ml antiserum Double Radial Immunodiffusion: Use a rosette arrangement with 10ml antiserum in 3mm diameter center well and 2ml plasma samples (neat and serially diluted) in 2mm diameter peripheral wells. Single Radial Immunodiffusion: 1% in the gel. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
