- Human D-dimer (DD), a specific degradation product of cross-linked fibrin, is released into the bloodstream during clot breakdown. It is used as an indicator of blood clots, venous thromboses or pulmonary embolisms. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Sandwich ELISA: Plasma samples should be diluted with 10mM Tris-HCl buffer, pH 7.5, 1M sodium chloride, 0.1% Tween-20. To avoid non-specific binding, the final sodium chloride concentration in plasma samples should be ≥0.5M. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Matched Pair: Suitable for use as the capture or solid phase antibody. Capture: F4197-23 Matched to F4197-17 or F4197-18 as the detection or conjugate (label) antibody. Hydridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
