- CD95, also known as Fas and Apo-1, is a 40-50kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. It is expressed by activated lymphocytes, monocytes, neutrophils, fibroblasts and cell lines. Fas ligand binding to CD95 induces apoptosis in activated mature lymphocytes thereby playing a role in maintaining peripheral tolerance. PE/CY5 combination conjugate is used as a third fluorochrome in multicolor flow cytometry applications when only a single 488nm excitation source is available. Antibodies are covalently coupled using heterobifunctional linking reagents, resulting in an optimal conjugation format for flow cytometry. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 10ul/10e6 cells Immunohistochemistry: frozen sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE/CY5 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
