- eIF3J is an RNA-associated protein belonging to the eukaryotic translation initiation factor family. It belongs to the group of proteins involved in protein translation:synthesis where it binds to the 40S ribosomal subunit and promotes the binding of methionyl-tRNAi and mRNA to form the 40S initiation complex. eIF3J is a component of the eIF3 multiprotein complex, composed of at least 13 different subunits. It is also known to interact with eIF3S12. Ubiquitous expression is seen in most tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: 293 or 3T3 cell lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
