- MaxLight™490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight™488, Alexa Fluor™488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm); Emission (515nm); Extinction Coefficient 73,000. Epiligrin, the major component of human keratinocyte extracellular matrix, serves as the preferred integrin ligand for alpha 3 beta 1 in plasma membranes and focal adhesions, and colocalizes with alpha 6 beta 4 in hemidesmosomes. The laminin-5 isoform is abundant in transitional epithelium, stratified squamous epithelia, lung mucosa, and other epithelial glands. Laminin-5 is a heterotrimer consisting of alpha3, beta3, and gamma2 subunits that associate via large helical regions to produce a cruciform-shaped molecule. Laminin-5 is synthesized initially as a 460kD molecule that undergoes specific processing to a smaller form after being secreted into the extracellular matrix. The size reduction is a result of processing the 3 and 2 subunits from 190-200 to 160kD and from 155 to 105kD, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and FLISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin sections Western Blot: Non-reducing conditions Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™490 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
