Enterobacter cloacae is a rod-shaped, gram-negative bacteria from the Enterobacteriaceae family. Enterobacter cloacae infections have the highest mortality rate compared to other Enterobacter infections. Enterobacter cloacae can cause a range of infections such as bacteremia, lower respiratory tract infection, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, endocarditis, intra-abdominal infections, septic arthritis, osteomyelitis, and ophthalmic infections. This organism affects mostly the vulnerable age groups such as the elderly and the young and can cause prolonged hospitalization in the intensive care unit (ICU). The infection may be contracted through the skin, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, or cross-contamination. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
