- Dynamin is a member of a group of nerve terminal proteins called dephosphins that regulate synaptic vesicle endocytosis (Cousin et al., 2001; Graham et al., 2002; Tsuboi et al., 2002). Cyclin dependent protein kinase 5 phosphorylates dynamin at Ser-774 and Ser-778 that are the phosphorylation sites on dynamin phosphorylated in vivo (Tan et al., 2003). Phosphorylation of these sites on dynamin is thought to play a key role in synaptic vesicle trafficking. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
