Extra Details:
Apoptosis is induced by certain cytokines including TNF and Fas ligand of the TNF family through their death domain containing receptors, TNF-R1 and Fas. Several novel death receptors including DR3, DR4, and DR5 were recently identified. A new death domain containing receptor in the TNFR family was cloned recently and termed DR6 for death receptor-6. Like TNF-R1, DR6 interacts with death domain containing adapter molecule TRADD. Overexpression of DR6 induces apoptosis and activates NF-κB and JNK. DR6 is widely expressed in human tissues and cell lines. The ligand for DR6 has not been identified. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilution to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
