- Extra Details:
- This gene encodes the D1 subtype of the dopamine receptor. The D1 subtype is the most abundant dopamine receptor in the central nervous system. This G-protein coupled receptor stimulates adenylyl cyclase and activates cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinases. D1 receptors regulate neuronal growth and development, mediate some behavioral responses, and modulate dopamine receptor D2-mediated events. Alternate transcription initiation sites result in two transcript variants of this gene. The rat D1a receptor is a 446 amino acid, G-protein coupled and transmembrane receptor protein Applications: Suitable for use in Western blot, Immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-10ug/ml (Chemiluminescence technique). Approximately 100-400ug of protein/lane should be loaded to visualize the 75kD band Immunohistochemistry: 2-10ug/ml on paraformaldehyde fixed sections. ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml (1ug/ml D1A peptide/well) Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
