- DNA-protein kinase catalytic subunit (DNA-PKcs) also known as DNA-activated kinase is a nuclear 460-470kD serine threonine kinase involved in double-stranded DNA break repair, VDJ recombination, and transcriptional modulation. DNA-PKcs must bind DNA ends to become active. DNA-PKcs is modified by phosphorylation and has been shown to interact with Ku70/Ku80, KIP, DNA-ligase IV, and XRCC4 proteins. Phosphorylated DNA-PKcs is upregulated after DNA damage. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunocytochemistry: 5-10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
