- Extra Details:
- DEDAF (death effector domain associated factor), is a 32kD protein that associates with DED-containing proteins but does not itself contain a DED. DEDAF interacts with the death effector domains of FADD, DEDD and the proforms of caspase-8 and caspase-10. It augments the formation of complexes between CD95, FADD and caspase-8 at the cell membrane and enhances apoptosis. The protein was also independently identified as RING1 and YY1 binding protein (RYBP), which was implicated in the regulation of transcription. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: A band at ~32kD was detected in human A549 cell lysates. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
