Extra Details:: Deethylindanomycin (omomycin) is an unusual pyrrollic ionophore related to indanomycin with activity against Gram +ve bacteria and coccidia. Lack of availability has limited further investigation of this compound. Source: Deethylindanomycin from Streptomyces sp. Molecular Weight: ~465.6 Solubility: Soluble in ethanol, methanol, DMF or DMSO. Limited water solubility. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with DMSO. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
