Extra Details:
MaxLight™490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight™488, Alexa Fluor™488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm); Emission (515nm); Extinction Coefficient 73,000. Defender of cell death 1 (DAD1) was initially discovered in BHK21 cells as a negative regulator of programmed cell death, a process important for normal organism development and tissue homeostasis. DAD1 was later shown to be a subunit of the mammalian oligosaccharyltransferase complex and is required for its function and structural integrity. Mice lacking DAD1 express abnormal N-linked glycoproteins and undergo increased apoptotic-associated embryonic death. Furthermore, overexpression of DAD1 mRNA is seen in some human hepatocellular carcinomas, indicating it may also play a role in carcinogenesis. It should be noted that DAD1 is not related to the inhibitor of apoptosis proteins (IAP) family and does not contain any baculoviral IAP repeat (BIR) domains. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, FLISA, Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: detects a band of ~22kD in HepG2 cell lysates. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™490 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
