Glycoprotein B (gB) is the main antigenic protein within the envelope of HCMV. It is required for HCMV mediated membrane fusion along with the gH / gL complex. The unprocessed precursor of HCMV gB is 906aa in length, with a MW of ~100kD. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:20:1:200 Immunofluorescence: 1:10-1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
