Extra Details:: Cytokeratin 7 was found to occur in the columnar and glandular epithelium of the lung, cervix, breast, bile ducts, larger collecting ducts of the kidney and in mesothelium, but is absent from gastrointestinal epithelium, hepatocytes and myoepithelium. Several types of adenocarcinomas of the gastrointestinal tract and of the urinary tract are negative, while adenocarcinomas of the mammary gland, ovary and lung are positive. Can be used to distinguish between ovarian carcinomas and colon carcinomas in routinely processed tissue sections. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:5-1:10 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:5-1:10 (microwave treatment recommended) Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Glandular epithelium breast Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
