- Extra Details:
- Cytokeratin 14 is a type I intermediate filament. It is one of the two cytokeratins that distinguish stratifying epithelial cells types from simple epithelial cell types. Cytokeratin 14 is expressed by stratifying/keratinocyte cell types but not by simple epithelial cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: Suitable for staining formalin fixed wax sections or frozen tissues. Recommended to either microwave treat fixed tissue sections or high temperature antigen unmasking technique. Prior exposure of fixed tissues to enzyme (trypsin) digestion is deleterious to epitope expression. The fixative recommended for use is neutral buffered formal saline Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Hybridoma: NS1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
