Cytokeratin 14 is one of two cytokeratins that can distinguish stratifying epithelial cell types from simple epithelial cell types, being expressed by stratifying/keratinocytes cell types but not by simple epithelial cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 1:100. Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul. Membrane permeabilization is required. Immunohistochemistry: frozen sections Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:200. Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer is recommended for this purpose. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo I1904-06H: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo I1904-14C: IgG, Fc (HRP) Pab Gt xMo I1904-19C: IgG, F(ab’)2 (HRP) Pab Gt xMo Recommended Positive Control Tissue: Skin Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
