Extra Details:
CTGF is a heparin-binding pleiotropic growth factor involved in chondrogenesis and potentially skeletogenesis. CTGF promotes the adhesion of epithelial cells and fibroblasts, stimulates integrin expression, and also promotes endothelial cell survival, migration and adhesion, implicating CTGF in angiogenesis. CTGF induces extracellular matrix formation, including the deposition of excessive collagen in fibrotic diseases, and has also been implicated in wound healing. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Direct and sandwich): 0.25-1.0ug/ml using 100ul/well antibody solution. Detects 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant human CTGF. Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. The detection limit is 1.5-3.0ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
