- Extra Details:
- CREB is a transcription factor which binds to cyclic AMP response elements (CRE's), and is induced by phosphoyrlation on the part of PKA, CaM K IV, and other protein kinases. Activated CREB will dimerize, bind to DNA, and recruit histone acetyl transferases. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot (transfected lysate): 1-5ug/ml detects a band at ~37kD using CREB1 transfected 293T lysate Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1ug/ml using human kidney tissue ELISA: 1-5ug/ml using recombinant protein. The detection limit for recombinant GST tagged CREB1 is ~1ng/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. AA Sequence: MTMESGAENQQSGDAAVTEAENQQMTVQAQPQIATLAQVSMPAAHATSSAPTVTLVQLPNGQTVQVHGVIQAAQPSVIQSPQVQTVQISTIAESE Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
