Extra Details:
Creatine kinase (CK) BB is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis. The protein reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens such as creatine phosphate. Creatine kinase consists of two subunits, which can be either B (brain type) or M (muscle type). Therefore, three different cytosolic isoenzymes exist: CK-MM, CK-BB and CK-MB. Cytosolic CK isoenzymes are always co-expressed in a tissue specific fashion together with a mitochondrial isoform. MM is the major form in skeletal muscle and myocardium, MB exists in myocardium and BB in many tissues, especially brain. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
