- Extra Details:
- Contactin-2 (CNTN2), also known as transient axonal glycoprotein 1, is a 135kD GPI-anchored protein that is expressed on neurons and glial cells. The extracellular domain of CNTN2 consists of six Ig-like C2-set domains followed by four fibronectin type III domains. CNTN2 is required for axonal migration and interacts homophilically at juxtaparanodal regions on myelinated fibers. Within the ECD, human CNTN2 shares 93% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat CNTN2. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Human cerebellum tissue Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
