- Extra Details:
- MaxLight™490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight™488, Alexa Fluor™488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm); Emission (515nm); Extinction Coefficient 73,000. There are three variants of the Complement Component 4 Binding Protein (C4bp), composed of alpha and beta chains. The predominant form is a 570kD complex of 7 alpha chains and 1 beta chain. The other complexes formed are a 530kD homoheptamer of alpha chains or a 500kD complex of 6 alpha chains and 1 beta chain. C4bp regulates the activation of the classical complement pathway. It is a cofactor to the C3b/C4b inactivator, crucial to the proteolytic cleavage of C4b and important in cleavage of C3b. C4bp also regulates the C4bC2a complex (C3 convertase), accelerating its degradation by dissociating the complement fragment C2a. Both the C4bp alpha and beta chains interact with anticoagulant protein S and C4bp alpha binds protein S. C4bp is expressed in the blood serum. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™490 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
