- Extra Details:
- C3a is a 77 amino acid (aa) peptide comprising aa672-748 of the C3 precursor protein. It is generated as a proteolytic byproduct of complement activation. C3a is an anaphylatoxin that is vasoactive and mediates inflammatory responses. It binds G-protein coupled C3a receptors in airways during asthmatic allergen challenges, triggering robust mast cell degranulation. Human C3a shows 69% aa identity with mouse, rat and guinea pig C3a. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Direct ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml using recombinant human Complement Component C3a under non-reducing conditions only Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
