Extra Details:
Cholera toxin is comprised of two subunits, A and B. Subunit A is an ADP-ribosyltransferase, which disrupts the proper signaling of G proteins, leading to cell dehydration. The 12kD nontoxic subunit B ("choleragenoid"), which is assembled into a 60kD pentamer above pH 2, allows the protein complex to bind to cellular surfaces via the pentasaccharide chain of ganglioside GM1. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: SP2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Allophycocyanin (APC) is light sensitive. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
