Extra Details:: LPS is a common feature of the outer envelope of gram negative bacteria, which acts as a potent endotoxin, triggering an innate immune response. Studies have shown however, that whilst the LPS of Chlamydia trachomatis does evoke an immune response, it displays only weak endotoxic activity when compared to that of other bacteria such as Salmonella Minnesota or Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: NSO/U myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
