- Extra Details:
- Chemerin, also known as TIG2, is a distant member of the cystatin superfamily. The chemerin precursor is cleaved by multiple serine proteases at various sites near the C-terminus. Mature active chemerin is a 15-16kD heparin binding protein that induces immature dendritic cell and macrophage chemotaxis through interactions with ChemR23. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Neutralization and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml detects Chemerin in recombinant mouse Chemerin under non-reducing conditions. Neutralization: 1-5ug/ml in the presence of 100ng/ml of recombinant mouse Chemerin. Measured by its ability to neutralize Chemerin-induced chemotaxis in the BaF3 mouse pro-B cell line transfected with human Chem R23. Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
